starting my second dreadlock journey

Sooo i am starting a second journey, freeform. My first set of locks were started with the backcomb method, and were not as healthy of a set as i had hoped due to my lack of knowledge on proper care. Im so thankful to have found dreadlocksite and im very excited to start this new journey! C:

Nice wish you well on your second journey. Mine were started the same way, but six or seven have been combed out, so I get to experience the completely natural process of hair dreading too. Keep us updated on your progress.

what did u do besides backcomb that made em so unhealthy?

crochetted , palm rolled, washed maybe once every few months.

You could just have stopped doing anything and they would've probably been fine. But the natural journey is awesome
