White Irish thin receded blond haired guy wanting to start dreads

Hey!!

I was just hoping to get a little info...

I'm 36.. and have white guy hair. I want to grow it and eventually lock it up...

I don't really wanna do the whole kit/wax thing... and just need it sectioned off.
I'm fine with natural dreads.. and would love them to be done in sections around 3/4"... 1/2" as I have pretty thin hair.... but I'll let you see what's up...
Anyway...
My hair line HAS receded over the years... but has since stopped... it's been the same for the last 5 years or so... so I'm not too too worried about it receding further...
I'd obviously have to grow my hair out... but I wanted to know your opinion on whether or not you think it'd work out??
:)

Thanks!

Here's some pics... ;)

Stop brushing for 2-3 weeks and let it section naturally, Then go through and if you need to, pull apart any sections that are bigger than 1 inch {unless you want some major fatties :) } You'll probably start seeing more progress when your hair gets around 6 inches in lenght, however. :)
