I too agree. and after reading this I realized that all those dread products; the wax, tools, gels, and the like are all a way of trying to make dreads conform to society! I am so glad that all I ever did was read about that stuff and never try it myself. Dreads should be natural and let be, congrats on giving up!

For the comformist dread look at the dreadlockhq pics. They are free to do their thing but all the dreads look the same if not similar. Peace bro
