The first 11 days of negligent bliss! I'm actually excited to see just how messy this can get

Yes, I can already tell that back chunk at the crown is gonna wanna swallow everything in its path šŸ˜„ I've been trying to leave it alone but I think it's time to separate that section a little. I wash in the morning so I'll do it then Thank you!

Ok so... 6 days later. I had to separate the area on my crown, it was trying to form a 2 inch section, but other that that I haven't messed with my hair at all. Loving the wild unruly process! And it kind of makes me sad to see the extensive damage I did, years of bleaching and straightening. Trying to upload current pics šŸ™‚

Ohhh boy.... it's May 6th, and things are getting loopy and messy I am struggling a little bit keeping them separated, but maybe I just didn't expect to be pulling them apart Every. Single. Day. This photo is about an hour after a wash, so they haven't had their daily pull apart yet, but you can definitely see progress. I'm just a little bit shy of one month...so I'm very pleasantly surprised that things have changed so much! Question, should I do something to encourage all the little loose hairs between dreads to form a mat of their own? I feel like by pulling them apart from the big "baby dreads" constantly I'm preventing them from really forming anything of their own. Pics to follow!

Hey there I can relate to not expecting to have to separate SO often! I too had to do it daily the first few months! It gets better hang in there. Now I just separate as I feel them tugging each other and as Iā€™m feeling for stickers lol! Iā€™m about a year and half in. Getting the liquid activated charcoal shampoo from Vicki really hastened the process, I would say I lost most my length once I started using her product HOWEVER that also meant more locking and less separating (I was grateful to have very long hair though! because it shrunk by half!) but it was so gloriously clean and light, it was/is worth it.

Welcome!!
