I decided to cut all of the loose tips off that I'm guessing were too thin to dread from when I combed out the crochets. 

If I remember I will post some pics later today.

why would you d that they were fine and the loose hairs onthe tips act like a wick  letting water drip out of them so they dry alot faster

Because they were so thin that they really weren't doing anything. Another consequence of the crochet.

You can really tell the true length now though.

looking good but liked the lil whispy ends u cut off better

It was really hard to get in pictures but they really were thin like just a few strands I don't think they would ever have locked up.

Only problem now is it's a bit too short to tie up so always falls out of a hair band so doesn't stay tied up fot as long.
