Loose roots question

I've looked around and couldn't find a good awnser for my question. I started my dreads about 4 days ago with the twist and rip method and I ended up pretty far from the roots where my hair started dreading. Is this a problem or will my hair just go with it?Oh and thanks to this site for keeping me from wax and all that nastey shit.

Actually, it is a good thing you did not go all the way to the roots, they need to be loose up there. So guess what, job well done, no worries.
