So I'm Bonnie, 23 from Ireland. I've had dreadlocks for about a year and a half. They were put in with the crochet hook, with two follow up maintenance sessions - and yes, I know NOW how bad the crochet hook is so I've vowed to just leave them alone and let them do their own thing.
I got them because I love dreadlocks, and frankly, I never knew what to do with my hair. As a child I grew my hair incredibly long, during my teenage years I had a mohawk, which I then cut off at 17 - I was devastated but I didn't think I'd ever get a job with it. Between then and now I changed hairstyles so much and could never find one that fit so I just let it grow and did nothing with it until it got insanely long again. Then it came to me. Dreadlocks. Besides my mohawk, I've never been happier with a hairstyle, I feel it's me and I love them.
So, here's the question part. The day before my dreadlocks were put in with the hook, I got an undercut, for those who don't know what that is, I've included a picture below . I've decided to grow the back out and dread it, and since I've thrown away the hook, I was wondering what to do. I know about neglecting them and letting them do their own thing in the very beginning, thing is, I'm quite OCD so I need some form of sectioning or I'll go crazy at night that I'll have one huge one and tiny little ones or something.
This was taken not too long after they were put in, possibly even the same day.
