Hey guys! I was wondering how i can blunt the tips of my dreads without crocheting, or backcombing if possible. I've used the twist & rip method + palm rolling with no wax or anything. so How do I get my ends to not be all whispy and annoying?

Firstly, stop palm rolling. It does nothing beneficial and can actually cause damage by pulling out roots and weakening the dread.

Secondly, blunted tips are not that desirable. They cause water to stay in the dread for far longer which can cause mold or rot. There is not way, that I know of, that you can get them without crocheting.

Like Adam said, wispy ends are actually good for your dreads. They help water run out of your hair after washing. They create a kind of channel for the water to run off. Blunted tips don't have that, so they take much longer to dry. If your dreads stay damp between washings you run a really high chance of developing mold and/or mildew. It stinks and is a pain to get rid of.
