Hi everyone!(:
My dreads are going to be two weeks old tomorrow! Yay! I decided to make a spray out of sea salt, lemon juice and water.
My friend recommended it. I get the water and sea salt, but why the lemon juice?

My spray is 2 1/2 cups water, 1 1/2 tablespoons seat salt, and 1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Is that okay?
Thanks!!

The lemon juice is bad for hair. It will make it brittle.

Here is something else yuo can make. http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/any-tried-homemade-flax-lock-up-gel?commentId=3754945%3AComment%3A1463211&xg_source=activity

Lemon juice can make your hair very brittle. It gets into the hair shaft and does something to it (can't remember at the moment) from the inside out. Baba Fats or SE would know the answer. Anyway, lemon juice isn't good for your hair. Best to use sea salt spray, locking gel from dreadlockshampoo.com or you can make your own by boiling flax seeds. If you're interested in that, search YouTube for a tutorial.
