I've been lurking on this site for a while now so I decided why not make a post. I'm very grateful that I found this site before starting my dreadlocks. I almost got sucked into "getting" them in a salon but between this site and a good friend I've learned that natural is the best.
It's been less than a month since I've started this journey but I already feel more like myself. Just officially making the decision has felt so freeing... I've wanted dreads since I was around 12 (now 24).
Few things about me: 24, crafty, creative, love all things vintage & diy, I repaint vintage furniture, am apprenticing under a professional upholsterer, & have been sober for almost 1.5 yrs. 
Anyway, just wanted to say hey.
