New dreads

Well, its been more or less a week since i started T'n R. Two weeks since I stopped brushing. I have only done the front sections of my hair. I am just going to let the back sort its self out and already there are 2 sections starting so far.

I decided to dread because I think they are so beautiful. I have since figured out this will be the test of patience for me, which is a good thing, I could use that life lesson. I have always had a lot of compliments on my hair but I never really liked it myself. I could never get it straight enough or to stay the way i styled it. Now I'm so in love with my hair!

Most of my teenage years I spent the summers living in a camper with no electricity and that is when i really stopped caring about my hair, although I still brushed it. What a relief it is to just let it go! I don't feel like dreads are all that "different" I see them everywhere I go. My only fear right now is trying to find a job because of all those lovely misconceptions. But I'm sure that will also sort its self out and something will happen when its supposed to.

Happy Dreading everyone :)

They do look nice. If you tie them back loosely, no one would probably know you had them right away from the front.

If you have them for any type of spiritual reason, no employer is allowed to not hire you because of them. If you feel like that's a reason you didn't get a job, and can prove that you were more than qualified for the position, you can take legal actions.
