Day 4 of dreads please help?!?

You can either brush out the dreads, remove the wax and start a better method (natural is what most here would advise), or just remove the wax. It will take multiple washes with dish detergent and hot water to fully remove it. Or, you can get wax-b-gone. Since the dreads are so new, it's probably best to just start over.
Another problem is that since you had them "done", they are probably all uniform in size, which is not something desirable. What you really want are all different sized sections. Thick for volume and thin to fill in spaces. The natural method takes away all of the guess work and is generally more satisfying. Watching the gradual change is really great.
If the natural method is not for you, then TnR is your best bet.

Hi Logan. Too bad she did not listen to you. Wax holds in moisture/water pockets & will over time cause the hair to mold and smell. The dreaducation section will teach you how to remove the wax and how to care for your dreads. It is unfortunate that you will be out of pocket money, but at least you came to the right site to save the future of your dreads now. Good luck & make sure it is all removed. Everything you want to know about dreads can be found on this site, use the search bar at the top.
