Hello! So I'm starting my dreads using the natural/neglect method and the middles and ends are coming along nicely. However, I do know that there is some separating required so my hair doesn't grown into one huge matted ball. When I separate, however, should I be separating my hair into the sections that I want, or should I just separate in general and let the sections form naturally the way they want to fall in place?

separate in general, if they are to big for you at the roots then separate them. i would try to let your hair do what it wantsnaturallythough because that is whats probly best for you.

mostly u shouldnt worry boit seperating untill theres something to seperate..as in dreads form9ng that then are tryimg to combine
if a sections too bu=ig..but not knotting yet leave it be it may section itself into 21 before it knots
if it starts to tangle up and is too big then seperate
but if all u got ie sectinoning no dreading yet thees really no need to seperate at all yet

right, when you get a year into locking, you may then worry about your roots locking together causing problem. thats down the road though
