Ok My locks are three WEeks old nOw and they have been starting to form loops That pop out in random areas,Also some of them have started to kind of flatten out, is that normal for twist and rip dreads? If not how can I make them round again?

thats normal for all dreads

loops mean they are dreading

flat means they are compressing and tightening

roll over and they get round

u dont gotta do a thing they are doing exactly what they should be doing

leave em be

oh..show em off too loops are beautiful

You're getting to the fun part! My last set was backcombed and they were all extremely fat and loopy! This current set is starting to do the same. I had one starting to round back up when I combed the first ones out. Patience and they'll calm down.Best wishes! :)

I back combed to start my dreadlocks and as soon as I stopped using wax they have been forming into all sorts of cool shapes! This picture is from a month ago and they are still doing crazy things.
