I've heard that if you have more than one they don't talk much. We had one for about a year before we brought the other home. Int hat year he still didn't say anything. But that was the stupid one. We let him fly around the room a few times and he just flew into walls and fell tot he floor where he'd run and hid under the bed or behind a dresser.
i had a fox, 2 cats 15 rats 2 budgies & a chinchila all at thesame time
the budgies didnt fly at 1st till we let the flight feathers grow back, but they would hop around and peck the cats on the nose, sometimes theyd try riding on the foxes back
the cats and fox would curl up to sleep together
the rats tried mating with the chinchila
the cats fox and birds chased him cause he loved to run and bounce off wa;llls
it was kinda funny the budgies were sorta he dominant ones that nobody messed with..untill they were able to fly
as soon as they flew the cats and fox would chase after them
