nothing u do will keep the ends from comming loose dont worry bout the ends..or the roots.. if 1 single tangle survives in the middle it will dread from there..just let it
you should definitely stop re-twisting and ripping... all that does is set you back to square one each time. do it once, then leave them alone. chances always are that they will come undone... and with time and patience they will dread themselves. beads are good for sectioning, though. make sure they aren't too tight; dread babies need room to move around in order to progress and eventually lock up
