well thanks for starting this thread. Im sure they are sick of all the newb questions but there really is a lot more to it than "just dont comb it" I really wish there was a super detailed natural dread for dummies post. i had no idea that you were suppose to rinse the salt water out. woops.

You don't need a "concoction". It isn't a science experiment. Add some (store bought) sea salt to some hot water and spray your hair down.

Ya I know, if you had read my thread instead of only reading just my post then you would have noticed that had already been discussed lol. Your bad. LOL. But ya I don't have a tam, so i use a loose beenie, but i'm concerned it will be too restrictive.
