Mine went super wavy curly as they were progresssing. Just let them be.

The back of your head looked exactly like mine when I started my journey 5 years ago. It was looking at myself I cut mine though shortly after that, but in 2013 decided to go for it again.
So far I'm 25 months in, and just like everyone else will tell you, it takes time. Since you seem to have the same type of hair as mine, you might start to see some sort of progress around your 6-8 month mark. Then again I think that's the norm now for people starting.
