Ok, I didn't see anyone mention it.
So, when you do the BS/ACV wash, pour on the BS mixture. wait about 10 minutes, then rinse it off with water first, before doing the ACV rinse. When BS and vinegar mix they create gas and heat. did you feel any fizzing on your scalp when you poured on the ACV? That's not what's supposed to happen. once won't hurt your hair. a few times probably wouldn't. But the chemical reaction is not good to expose yourself to without good ventilation and gloves on.
So just remember to rinse the BS off before using ACV
Like Baba said, be sure to rinse (preferablywith as cold as you're comfortable with) before acv rinse, you could end yourself up with what may seem like a fourth grade science project :p Welcome to the site, =)
