lately i've been noticing that my roots are like normal hair. the ends of my hair are completely locked up, but the newly grown hair (about two to three inches) isn't dreading. what's going on? is this normal?

as they grow that hair will mat and tangle. I was worried about it too when I first started. I used to rub my roots till it hurt just to tangle them, but it never worked. After a few weeks and months, you will forget about it and notice that that hair is knotted, and new hair is loose. It's just the cycle of dreadlocks
