I am four months into my dreadlocks and started by just letting them form naturally, then gave into peer preasure and started backcombing, then interlocking and then crocheting. I know, I know, shouldn't have done that. It's a good lesson not to give into what people tell you works best.
My concern is that I now have a couple locs that are stuck together at the root, and hair from where the base of where one is is now in the opposite loc. I have a thick, knotted bundle of hair between the two and loose, straight hair still closer to my scalp. Should I work hard to pull it appart as much as I can and then rip it? or should I cut it?
What do you all suggest?
