I wouldn't recommend you giving your self dreadlocks. I remember that there is a site, where it tails you all of the salons in the United States that give dreads. Try to find the site through google, so a professional can give you dreads the way you want.

I used to have dreads 2 years ago, but I shaved it off, cause it is way to much maintenenve.
