there are tons and tons of how to dread wikis, each just has the question worded a lil different.many have bad info a few are ok.alot have links to wax pushersif you come across 1 thats got obviously bad info..edit itif its got links to harmful sites, remove them and add links to good sites. not only this site but other reputable forumsfor instance this 1 http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_can_you_get_dreadlocks&updated=1&waNoAnsSet=2 i just edited ..it still could use further refining however.originaly it had alot of wax info and links to dhhqyou may have to re-edit a couple times as it seems dhhq employees edit them. but if you provide enough true info a wiki editor will step in and provide a final edit with good info removing the scamy spammy liesunfortunaly there maybe hundreds or more..so anytime ya come across 1 with bad info...fix it

awesomeaned i know they use those scumbag tactics deleting every negative view (again this is not calling him a scumbag, only saying he acts like 1)the wikis and yahoo how to's and all the other user editted sites are the best way to combat the liesand they have refference urls too that you can delete the dhhq kb urls add ones to more truthfull sitesontop of that it might take a few months and alotta work but ium hoping to get many of our pages listed higher or nearly as high as theyre sites..alotta what will help after ning fixes a lil server issue is members really making an effort with good titles tags and the 1st 12-15 words (which will be the page description)the sites doing better and better in searches everytime i check..practicly improving hourly..however forum posts which are what we need indexed are not being indexed due to that server issue (extremely long description tags)when thats fixed we should have a decent chance to get the word out

i hate how tempting it is to use dread wax, especially in the first month or so. I started with wax (ignorant to the dangers) and after i discovered this site, washed it all out. My hair looked like normal hair but with a couple knotted bits and a few okay baby dreads. What this really tells me is that when i had the wax in my hair it wasn't doing anything to make the dreads, just making it LOOK like i had them. Now my hairs knotting up nicely and the process is actually going much faster than it did with the wax in.

All I know is mine are dreading up VERY quickly with the twist and rip method... I have really fuzzy days but those are the days I just wear them in a tam. Backcombing had to undo it's self first and since I didn't know better I would put more wax on... I only waxed about 4 times in the month and a half I had my first set. Then I got fed up and removed them completely. Now I am so happy I went about it with out any product... just the twist and rip to help them along since my hair liked to stay pretty tangle free. I also used conditioner like my life depended on it. I am doing my first baking soda wash this weekend and can't wait!:D IzzyLoveJoyPeace&Patience~ Namaste
