only certain sites require a sample submission to prove your writting skills some dio not paid ones probablydo
theres tons of article sites that let you submit articles and every 1 is a chance to add links back here only a few pay for articles
You can just write an article and submit it at ezinearticles.com. They would review it first before it gets published same with other article directories so you don't have to show that you already have published something.
There are sites that do pay for your articles like bukisa and associated content but I think for the latter you need to be based in the US to earn money from your articles.

on ya search open dreadlocks and dreads questions answer then add links to the site in refference if u can add links to specific pages like the wax truth page if the question invvolves wax as an example
in other sites like http://www.sanwal.co/ write articles (u get paid there and some others) link the words dreads or dreadlocks to the main page 2-3 times per article or make links to specific pages using terms related like lini twist and rip to the tnr guide etc
