Shampoo

Hello everyone, I am just curious to find out if there is a specific sort of motion you have to do when you apply shampoo for your dreads? If so, please let me know because when I apply shampoo on my hair I move in a circular motion.

I'm wondering if this is why my hair's starting to feel greasy? I'm using a natural handmade shampoo bar/soap. My hair is starting to dread I think. My kids say it looked dready today, so I was pleased, but it just feels greasier than before. Maybe I should leave the soap and do the baking soda thing?

I'm out to buy baking soda tomorrow! (I think that's bicarb of soda here in the UK - better check that one!)
