How long does it usually take to show signs of dreadlocking in your hair? I got rid of my brush, or stopped using my girlfriend's rather about a month ago when I went out and bought baking soda. I have washed my hair with it since. I understand it takes time, I just want to know it's actually working, you know? Thanks for everything, guys. I love this site.

My hair is around 8 inches long. Thanks, I figured I was just worrying a little about it. I feel much better about no signs of knotting yet.

It's been about a month since I stopped brushing my hair, and started washing with baking soda.
