13 months into natural dreading...

Hey guys,

I was wondering if the couple of 'dreads' you can see are normal? I have about 5 of these mat things mainly at the back of my head and was wondering if they will eventually sort themselves out?

i have some of those, too. they look like big, flat, matted paddles. i personally hate mine but i've been told on here that they will change and compact over time. i guess if they don't then i can cut them off when my hair grows long enough.

why wuld u hate em or cut em ..why not try to love em?

I had bunches of those flat paddles at the back of my head, they have mostly all begun to round out now.

it would definitely be a last resort. i hate them because i have thin hair and they're heavy and cause pulling on my scalp and its really uncomfortable. the bottoms are about 2 - 3 inches wide and the rest is developing thinner than a pencil.

I have quite a few of these as well only on my top layers tho so figure it's from sleeping on them :P
