Could I have natural dreads even though my hair is already long?

Hey, I am wondering if I stop brushing my hair would it just eventually in time start to tangle and dread?

it will dread faster if longer

yea just stop combing and conditioning watch it dread

but it may dread fast so seperate if it tries growin togeter too much

my hair is long and its taking a long time to knot. i think it really depends on your hair texture. i have thin, soft hair but someone with course, long hair would probably lock faster.
