I really want dreads but my hair is different lengths. It is longer on the top then it is on the sides and back. My hair is about 2.5 inches on the top and about an 1 on the sides and back... I got a haircut about 3 months ago. Should I cut my hair to be the same length before I grow my hair out and into dreads or is my problem not really a problem at all?

the problem is not really a problem at all, dread will shrink and be longer and do what they're gonna do regardless, so even if you have all one length to start, this does not mean they will all stay one length! my 2 front dreads are longer than the rest at the moment and then i have quite a few on top that have shrunk up and lots under neath that haven't, do what makes you feel comfy but don't worry about it otherwise!
