Hi everyone

I started locing my hair last week using the sponge method and there seems to be gaps between loced hair, I'm just wondering if this is expected or am I doing something wrong.

Hi! I’m not an expert, but I watched several videos showing people using this method and all of them had such gaps so I guess it’s something typical. I’m pretty sure that if you stop using sponge these gaps will disappear. Good luck and happy dreading :)

the sponge is an absolutely ridiculous way to start, having said that yours look the best i ever seen from the sponge (most look like a hedgehog)

forced, or, big sectioning can be gappy, but if you leave em alone and separate by popping (just pull apart) and never retwisting they will be fine

Thanks for the responses, I'll stop using the sponge and see how things go from there

sponge or any wool rubbing method should only be done once then left alone anyways

you can reset progress to day 1 each time you do. or undo months of progress in minutes
