I wouldn't say they aren't working, but if you are taking more MCG than you need then what's left is being wasted. Thankfully there are no known reports of toxicity from Biotin.

i was taking it for a year or two ..mostly for my ugly nails lol...i didnt really notice anything so i stopped ...meh who knows i saw no difference so i decided to save my money instead ..i also dont enjoy taking pills at all so it just worked out to stop
Yeah, I'm not a fan of taking pills either. After my back surgery in '06 I found myself being addicted to Percocet after taking them for almost 5yrs so I started weenig myself off them by puffing more. It worked but it would be nice to have some pain meds with the cold weather and stuff but all the doctors here want ya to sign a pain contract and give a urine sample. I really don't understand, I mean it's just a plant that's all natural. It's not like I'm doing crack, coke or heroin!
On the bottle of Biotin I have, it's 1,000mcg and says not to take more than 3,000mcg a day. I don't know if I have a Biotin deficancy or what. My hair has always grown slow. Takes 5yrs for my hair to get 1/4 of the way down my back! I also have a thinning spot on the top of my head that I'd like it to grow back but I'm at the point where I think it'll just keep thinning to where I'll have a big bald spot as big as my hand!
