Would braiding 1x1 inch sections into your hair prior to starting the neglect process help encourage dreading for those with very fine or straight hair?

well 1st off why would u do 1 inch squares second braiding fir a few days then taking them out will give it a lil texture and wavines that may or may not help
brainig and leavibg braids in to neglect wiol dread slower then straight neglect as the braids have to unbraid then dread
straight fine hair will most likely dread just fine without any help
If you left the braid in, they would eventually become locks. But not for a while because they would need to untangle themselves a bit first so they can start to knot. If that's what you are asking. But this would not be natural.
If you mean, would braiding help kink up your hair a bit, so when you took the braids out, they'd be more likely to form locks? In a way, yes. But not so much that it would speed up the process by more than a few days/weeks. They might be mature at 11 months instead of a year.
actualy doubt it would affect the maturity at all but might see your 1st signs of dreading a few days sooner..maybe
