varies some dread in days some weeks so e months and a rare few take alot longer at 3 months your right on track most dread around that time but

how longs your hair? isit oily
how do u wash and dryetc
alotta factors can alter the length of time it takes

If it's tight like a beanie, it will slow the process down. That said, don't catch a cold or get sick on account of wanting your locks to form a few weeks/months faster.

Check out the stores posted on this site or Etsy and you may be able to find tightly crocheted tams that should do a decent job keeping you warm too.

But again, if it's a choice between not freezing or locking, don't freeze. Just see if there are any times of day that you can let them hang free as much as you can
