Ahhh!! gotcha. Ok, so blunted tips = dangerously long drying time = mold/mildew/rot = dread death.
I never once considered the drip dry time with the shape of the lock tip. Maybe when any length is cut maybe it can be cut at say, an extreme angle so there is a tip? Anyone tried it without their lock getting pissy?
Being able to 100% take care of my hair (trims included) was one of my biggest reasons for locking up. I hate relying on people to cut the back of my hair!!!!
I guess I'd have to say that my perfect length would be the middle of my shoulder blades. At that length I can pull them around and trim as needed.
And yep, I'm a leftie too. My left side is looking lovely and my right.... fuck. I'm tempted to tuck it behind my ear again. I've got this one monster curl that juts out from my head because of how it naturally wants to twist and I want to wrap it with some yarn or something to straighten it but I know that'll stop it from locking. Patience, patience, patience, patience.
That is too awesome, Baba Fats, that you can literally throw your locks over the edge of your bed.
