i noticed on dreadhead hq they showed a video about backcombing.(keep reading if you know which one iam talking about). and in the video he said don't push all the hairs up, then he called it a "palm tree" but in the para. about how to backcomb it had a pic. that didn't look like the video......so my question is witch way is right?

dont backcomb at all its a poor method and damagingeither go natural or twist n ripbackcombing looks really goofy at 1st anywayand dreadheadhq is the worse source of dread info there is

gotta agree on the effectiveness of T&R vs backcombing having had backcombing done on myself, an later learning about T&R and doing it for some friends here an there. (not to mention the members here that have done that method and seeing how beautifully it turned out on them)to answer your question, it's hard to not backcomb correctly, just gotta take a section of hair and start from the roots pushing downward, you'll see the teased hair forming lock-like and you continue this as desired toward the tip,, I dunno what the palm-tree refers to, but neither method should be hard to pick up.
