beginners guide to starting dreadlocks

So what is healthy for African hair? This decision is coming from a spiritual choice for me not fashion; going to a salon kind of defeats the purpose, I really do not want others energy in my hair. Everyone I know goes to the shop and plus its more a style thing, therefore they keep it twisted and very neat, which is fine for those who are stylin but that is not my need. I am getting frustrated and I was about to make an appointment, it would cost only 125.00 for starter dreads. Its a Dreadlock salon. something told me to cancel the appt (I know it was my ancestors,,lolol) so here I am ..help!! Peace & Blessings to you!

natural dreading just let it dread separate as needed all hair will just dread on its own thats whats healthiest for all hair

Does anyone know of any good dreads shampoo available in Brazil? Also, if i choose to use the baking soda and acv washes, should i ONLY use them? Won't that make my hair smeel like vinegar?

no the vinegars very diluted and the smell fades as soon as u rinse but u can use essential oils too if desired
