So most of us have baking soda in the house regularly right? Well here are 40 things you could use it for!!!Now this is not my list. I got it off this site- http://green.yahoo.com/blog/care2/4/40-fantastic-uses-for-baking-soda.html ------Personal Care1. Make toothpasteA paste made from baking soda and a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution can be used as an alternative to commercial non-fluoride toothpastes. You can also just dip your toothbrush with toothpaste into baking soda for an extra boost.** Minty ToothpasteINGREDIENTS1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon sea salt, finely ground1 drop peppermint, spearmint, sweet orange, clove, or cinnamon bark essential oilA few drops tap waterCombine ingredients in a small bowl and mix them thoroughly with a toothbrush, your finger, or a small spoon until a smooth, thick paste forms. The paste shouldnt be too runny; it has to stay on your toothbrush.Dip your toothbrush into the paste and use as you would regular commercial toothpaste.**2. Freshen your mouthPut one teaspoon in half a glass of water, swish, spit, and rinse. Odors are neutralized, not just covered up.3. Soak oral applianceSoak oral appliances (like retainers, mouthpieces, and dentures) in a solution of 2 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in a glass or small bowl of warm water. The baking soda loosens food particles and neutralizes odors to keep appliances fresh. You can also brush appliances clean using baking soda.4. wow it actually works pretty amazingly as a deodorant. I patted some on(not too much really...barely anything) and I walked about an hour and a half out in the sun...and I got nothing. It's not an antiperspirant but definitely a deodorant.
