its fine in naturally rather soft water (softened waters not the same as soft water)
in hard water bronners can be as bad as wax, leaving lots of sticky or oily buildup
absolutely
then its fine
we even had people living off grid who built solar water distillers to destill their water for hair washing
bronners is probably the most biodegradable soap there is..however.. for camping purposes, you should still carry a bucket 300 feet (or more depending on slope of terrain towards the water) away from any water sources, bronners biodegrades very quickly in dirt...but can take like a year in water.
