Awesome advice! I appreciate you guys.

@Mary my dreads dont loosen up when i wash. actually the underneath of my hair is completely dreaded. They look like the dreads in pictures. the top layer or my hair and in the front is really loose though. some of them havent started dreading yet.

I'd say just got for your natural colour then!

You should be totally fine. Like I said, just don't keep it in for as long as the box says, which you shouldn't need to because your hair is already light and rinse it well!

Dye is fine, just not the avocado oil ones and the extra conditioning ones. I used to dye all the time. Squeeze it through your dreads thoroughly. My fave is John freida foam. Just don't use the conditioner after, it'll be fine, oh and BS solution takes the colour out quicker than teh dreadlocks shampoo']
