haha yea I was skeptical looking at it this morning but I just went for it. it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Only thing is I really had to pull hard when sectioning out the first dread (divided it into 4 sections); the other 3 parts I separated it into were much easier. In the future I'm going to separate earlier on to make it even easier.
I didn't really plan out what I was doing, I just chose a section of the dread that looked to be 1/4 of the dread, wiggled a finger in at the root, then went up to where the real dread was occurring, and pulled apart the section, did this 4 times.
Is the ripping sound okay? I definitely heard a lot while I was pulling them apart.
Glad you handled it without too much pain. Yeah I always hear ripping when I separate. Sounds like it would be bad, but its normal
one more question- do you end up having to separate most baby dreads that form or just some of them?
