So my locks are a little over a month old and I'm very curious about the necessity of separating them. I want them to do their own thing, have their own twists, turns, and size yet I've heard different opinions from my friends. One has beautiful, thick dreads over a year own, and another had all of her hair join into one massive mat. Both did the exact same thing but with different results, not separating. I'd love to hear some more stories because I'm currently separating but am constantly wondering what they would look like if completely free.
