my 1st set were that wild haga
all i knew of dreadsa at that time was ..stop cokbing dreads g=happen
but didnt know seprating would prevent my dreads from becoming a beaver tail and devil horns haha
but next time around i seperated often for 18 years till they reached the ground and the thin ones started losing peices from being stepped on etc so let them congo at will the past several years so now as many as 6 joined into 1 but never let any get too thick
so i seperate the thick ones only now
bob marleys had no maintenance no seperation even u can especialy see that early on
but yea seperate after u wash when still lil damp its easier
theres 1 vid on here where bob marleys talking about his dreads and showing a congo where 2 dreads grew together as 1
this is mine few years ago around when i started letting them congo
im looking for a better example but this is this year afyer nearkly 4 years with almost zero seperation
hold on ill find better examples
ah well cant fond any better examples
ive never done a thing to them extcept wash and seperare and like i said almost no seperation for years
u really dont git to do crazy maintenance to keep em looking good
in fact the mor maintenance u do the worse they look with the bald gaps anjd they start looking too fake (like crochetted ones) ..its rter to keep it simp,e and do whats healthy for them
