Beads - help or hinder

Do beads have anything to do with helping or hindering locks to tighten? If they do help, is placement important?

they help and somewhat u know how young dreass have up to 3 inches loose at the roots and tips/

if u put a bead near the tip everythng above it will dread fater but only a short distance below it putting it in thre middle you have enough movement room below to dread

put it too high towards the roots i wouldnt recomend

but i always jut push em on to where they stick naturally if they slide to near the roots i try a thicker dread
