You could, but you'll be taking that 2 months and throwing it away. It's a shame, but reback combing and reTnRing bring you back to day one. Locks are supposed to loosen. That is how the get tangled again. Back combing and TnR ar just methods to section your hair. Locks do not form out of it.

So if you really feel like you need to look neat, like for a wedding, or something, you can get some pure aloe (from the plant, or food grade aloe), and take a tiny bit to control loose hairs. But if you don't need to look pristine, just let your hair be. That's the best option. The more you let your hair go, the faster it will lock up

Locks tend to knot up in the middle first and then work their way up to the root and down towards the tip. They usually don't do all the way down and blunt on their own. But this is for the best. Blunt tips take ages to dry and can get water-logged and cause a mess of problems.

So the fact that you are only 2 months along, and the tips aren't fully locked up yet is no surprise. They will eventually. It just takes a little longer. Don't force it to happen. Forcing it only damages them and sets back progress. Take a look at the photo page, and see how other members baby locks are coming along. I'm sure you'll find someone in a similar stage as you are
