Can I color my hair?

I'm about three and a half weeks in going the natural way. I've got some separating/knotting going on.I'd like to continue to color my hair since I've got greys and I'm only 26. It's just root color maintenance, very close to my natural color. Could I just use the color and not use the conditioner? Any experience with this?

the first couple times i had dreads i coloured them......i would personally never do it again, it got kind of gross. I feel your pain! I'm 21, and been going grey since age 12! I know lots of people who use Henna as a natural hair dye. I would use something like that....believe it or not Manic Panic hair dye is 100% vegan and made from vegtible dyes and oils.
