dreads coming out..

So I have some little dreads at the back bottom of my head that keep coming out. It is a fairly short section of my hair 3-4in. My question is should I put them back in or just let them be, and dread on there own?

leave m alone they will dread on their own when long enough but what do u mean by "put in":
