greasy feeling creamy coating on my scalp WTF?!

helloo, I am very new with my dreads but if it helps at all; I had the same problem and I was able to take care of it by using peppermint oil...as soon as I added that to my homebrew shamp (teatree, peppermint oil, BS+salt) it seemed to clear things up and got rid of that gross greasy feeling. I also had like minor flakes for a little while but those dissappeared after I added the peppermint oil, and also I like the smell .

Oh, my mistake.. whAt i wrote above is not because of the BS wash it is just builds up for an unknown reason. thats why im seeking help. Idk if its because the hair is in its dreading process or maybe because of my scalp gets oily too fast
