loose roots

hey guys. so im 3 months in from backcombing and most of my roots are plain loose undreaded hair.
Im aware that this is supposed to happen so they can lock up right, but im just wondering if theres anything specific i should do to help em along.
of course the best thing to do is wait, but i was just curious is theres anything to do for em in the meantime.
