over twisting and over tightening dread roots can lead to premature baldness

i was just watching tv flipping through the channels and saw a show about hair loss caused by amongst other things, too tight braiding, too tight lock maintaining including over twisting, root rubbing, interlocking, crocheting, anything that forced roots to be too tightthis lead to gradual but permanent hair lossit can do severe damage to the hair follicle and lead to baldnessand nit the typical pattern baldness either but patchy unsightly bald spots in odd placesthere is absolutely no reason to ever force root tightnessand it can have long term permanent effects

ya it's pretty gross, I've seen it too...

the moral of this story kiddos... love your loose roots or risk losing your dreads and being a blotchy baldhead
