Dying dread roots

Has anyone ever dyed the roots for a color root touch up? how do you weigh the making the dread tight and twist as the roots grow in or just letting the roots grow out without twisting for a few weeks and then coloring and then twisting the dread root

u should never twist the dread roots at allover twisting can cause them to break and there is no reason to ever twist the rootssso leave em alone and dye em if u want
